The habeas statute extends to American citizens held overseas by American forces operating subject to an American chain of command. The habeas statute, 28 U. S. C. §2241(c)(1), applies to persons held in custody under or by color of the authority of the United States.

Prohibition of Age Discrimination: Employment Act of 1967 (ADEA), 29 U. S. C. §633a(a)
Section 633a (a) prohibits retaliation against a federal employee who complains of age discrimination. It requires that all personnel actions affecting employees at least 40 years of age be made free from any discrimination based on age.
